ACAMS states that CCAS holders keep the designation through ongoing ACAMS membership and continuing education. The current cycle, credit requirements and fees are in the CCAS candidate handbook on acams.org.
In practice
- Keep your ACAMS membership active.
- Earn continuing education credits over the cycle: crypto-focused ACAMS webinars and courses count, as do other relevant trainings and further certifications.
- Pay the recertification fee before the deadline (early-bird pricing is usually lower).
Why it matters more in crypto
Crypto regulation changes faster than any other AML area: Travel Rule implementation, MiCA, stablecoin laws and new enforcement. Our news page tracks the major changes, and our CCAS questions are reviewed monthly.
